With no prior experience in planning and development, friends Joshua David and Robert Hammond set out on a path to create what is now one of the most iconic urban parks in the world. The new book, HIGH LINE: The Inside Story of New York City’s Park in the Sky, charts their journey as they collaborate with artists, ecoleaders, local business owners, and other neighbors to create a park celebrated as a model for creatively designed, socially vibrant, ecologically responsible public space.

Designed by Pentagram, the book itself is beautiful in its own right. Definitely worth picking up. Available here.
