TSA Flickr Pool

05 July 2009

We just set up the TSA Flickr Pool – a place for anyone to share photos, designs, illustrations, etc. The six most recent uploads are displayed on the front page of TSA over in the left column. We already have a lot of great work posted up there, add yours.

New Author

Today TSA welcomes on board Sougwen, a Brooklyn-based designer/illustrator currently living in Stockholm, Sweden. She is a contributor to the Ghostly International visual roster, former Cuban Council councilor, and has completed work for clients ranging from Nike to Tom Waits. Her collaborations include work with TWiN Studios and Joshua Davis.

Currently, she is attending the Interactive Art Director program at Hyper Island, in Stockholm. In her spare time, she is exploring new ways to fuse technology with her evolving visual style.

Welcome Sougwen!

TSA Shop opens

11 June 2009

Today we’re opening up the official TSA Shop. Powered by Merchline, the storefront will feature TSA initiated projects and collaborations. Our first poster series is entitled “The Place I Live,” a visual story from 7 TSA contributors all living in different corners of the world.

For a closer look at the posters and some more info on the project, click over in the left column under TSA Shop.

MG raffle winners…

02 June 2009

We had a great response to our first little free giveaway. Two people have been picked at random to receive a signed poster for the upcoming Milton Glasier movie. Congratulations to Paula McGloin and Kyle LaMar – you should receive an email shortly (if you don’t, email us here at hello [at] thestrangeattractor.net).

We have more fun design related giveaways/contests/promotions coming up, so stay tuned. We’re also refining and adding new sections to TSA – we’d love your input on anything you would add, change, etc., so please get in touch. Thanks all for reading!

Sean Klassen from Legwork Studio joins TSA today. He’s an expert in the intricacies of nerd metal, interactive design, and doing his own thing. He’s also an ex-workmate of mine and a great guy. Welcome Sean.

We’re excited to add a new author to TSA today. Gavin Potenza is a designer from Portland, OR. With work published in Computer Arts, Los Logos 4, and having recently worked at Nervo; needless to say, we’re happy to have him on board. Welcome Gavin.

New category added today: the TSA Library. Our first addition is FILE Magazine, a magazine focusing on graphic design, art and visual communication.

The library will act as a resource for new books and products coming out of the art/design world. If you’d like to add your book, magazine, dvd, print, font, etc… get in touch with us to find out how – hello [at] thestrangeattractor.net
